In support and solidarity with the local LGBT community GayLugano is organizing on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 a free walking tour with a Professional Tour Guide through the streets of Lugano to explore the city with a few stops to tell the story of LGBT Swiss history from the Middle Ages to the present.

The independent initiative is a response to the excessive controversy over the organization of an ecumenical prayer vigil in Lugano but is an aid to an expanded understanding of the situation today but also that of the past in other words from the miracle of Montevergine in 1256 to the words of Pope Francis.

Meeting point Piazza Bernardino Luini, Lugano in front of the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli at 6 p.m. in any weather. Duration about 90 minutes. Ends at Ciani Park. Tour is operated in Italian and English.
